About Bereber Sayaw PD

Bereber Sayaw PD brings joy to people with Parkinson’s disease through dance classes. The classes are based on a set of principles, approaches, and concepts that have been found to be particularly beneficial for people who live with PD.

Research shows that dance significantly improves mobility for people with Parkinson’s. At Bereber Sayaw PD, our chair-based dance classes are choreographed using proven techniques that specifically benefit individuals with Parkinson’s. These classes emphasize the aesthetic and imaginative elements of dance to stimulate the participant’s creativity, imagination, cognitive skills, and emotions in a series of movements.

Maraming benefits ang pagsasayaw kasama ang Bereber Sayaw PD, lalo sa mga may Parkinson’s disease.  One of them is the feeling of joy and belongingness. Parkinson’s disease isn’t the end—it’s the beginning of a stronger and graceful you.

His work bridges classical ballet, contemporary movement, and large-scale ceremonial performance, adding emotional depth, movement innovation, and narrative storytelling that complements the team’s technical and spectacle expertise.

In Australia since 2011, he has choreographed for major events including the Sydney Mardi Gras, the Opening of the Parade at the 2015 event, and the Laser-Dragon Water-Theatre for Vivid Sydney 2016 (nominated for Best Live Animation and Special Effects). He has taught Modern Dance and Ballet for the Sydney Dance Company and remains a dedicated educator and advocate, pioneering Dance for Parkinson’s (DfPD) in Australia through his organisation Sayaw PD, where he serves as Director, Founder, and CEO.

“Di dahil may PD ka, it’s the end of your life, it’s not. There’s still hope. Ipagpatuloy natin yung buhay natin. Wag tayong tumigil. Nandiyan ang sayaw, nandiyan ang musika, Bereber Sayaw PD, at ako.”
